Recommend me to a business that goes ahead with a new website or redesign, and I’ll give you 10% of the project fee as a thank-you.
Choose a bank transfer or gift card. No selling, chasing or project involvement required, just make the intro and I’ll handle the rest.
A quick introduction could earn you £100s
It’s easy. You recommend my services to someone and they commission me to build their website, I’ll pay you a 10% commission based on the project value.
Refer a £2,500 website project and you’ll receive £250.
Who should you refer?
It might be a client, supplier, friend, family member or somebody you met through networking.
The ideal referral is generally a business that:
- Has an outdated or underperforming website
- Is launching something new
- Needs more enquiries, bookings or sales
- Has been talking about replacing its website for far too long
- Wants one person to handle the content, design and build
They don’t need to know exactly what they want. That part is my job.

FAQs and referral terms
You’ll receive 10% of the referred client’s first website design project fee, calculated before VAT and excluding separately charged third-party costs.
For example, a £1,500 + VAT website project earns you £150.
Your reward will be issued after the referred client’s website project has been completed and their project invoices have been paid in full.
Payment will normally be arranged within 14 days.
Yes. You can choose a bank transfer or a gift card of the same value.
The scheme applies to new website design and website redesign projects.
Hosting, maintenance, SEO retainers, domains, licences, third-party services and small one-off support jobs are not included unless agreed separately.
Yes. The business must not already be a Semibold client, active enquiry or somebody I’m already discussing a project with.
The referral should be registered before they contact me, or they must clearly name you when first getting in touch.
No reward is payable if the referred business decides not to proceed, cancels the project or does not pay its invoices in full.
No. You can make as many genuine referrals as you like and receive a reward for every qualifying project.
The reward will normally go to the first person who made a clear, recorded introduction.
Yes. If the reward is being paid to a business, I may ask for an invoice before making payment.
A VAT-registered business should add VAT to its commission invoice. Businesses and individuals remain responsible for declaring taxable referral income where required. HMRC states that payments for introducing another customer may be taxable, while commission supplied by a VAT-registered business is generally subject to VAT.
Yes. I’ll always appreciate the introduction, but I may decline a project that isn’t suitable, falls outside my services or cannot be accommodated within the required timescale.
