What is SEO?

SEO stands for “search engine optimisation.” In its simplest form, SEO means the process of improving your website to increase its visibility on Google, Microsoft Bing, and other search engines when people search for your products or services.

You searched for “SEO Norfolk” and you found me; I know what I’m doing

“SEO agency Norfolk”, “Norfolk SEO consultant”, or even simply “SEO Norfolk”. If you found me on Google, you searched for one of those phrases and I came up. Trust me, I’m good at this stuff!

Do I need SEO?

When I work with you to build your website, ongoing SEO is optional, but highly recommended in many cases. Here’s why my clients choose to utilise my SEO skills:

Trump your competitors

Investing in SEO is the best way to become more visible than your competitors in the search results and avoid losing business to competitors ranking above you.

Don’t pay for Ads

Avoid paying through the nose for every single website click! Get traffic for free and build a solid online presence that lasts longer than Ads.

24/7 marketing

Making your website visible to those who are searching for your services or products feels like you have a 24/7 sales person working for your business.

The right first impression

From my experience, people have always told me they trust businesses that rank high in search results. What better way to provide the best first impression for your business?

FAQs

SEO stands for “search engine optimisation.” In its simplest form, SEO means the process of improving your website to increase its visibility on Google, Microsoft Bing, and other search engines when people search for your products or services.

As much as I’d love to give you a definitive cost right here, it’d be silly of me to do that. Every business needs a unique approach to SEO. However, I can say that on average most of my SEO clients pay between £300+VAT – £480+VAT/month for their bespoke SEO packages.
My SEO services are on a monthly rolling basis. I just ask for 30 days’ notice of cancellation. My clients retain my services based on high rankings and website traffic. I’ve never had a client want to cancel their SEO services (to date) – I must be doing something good, right?

Maybe, but is that always necessary? That may sound like an odd question. But, what I mean by that is what phrase do you want to be #1 for? Is that the right sort of phrase to be targeting?

For example, if you’re an accountancy firm wanting to rank #1 for “accountancy services UK”, not only is that a massive challenge, it’s just not an efficient way to go about SEO. Why not try to rank for local phrases such as “accountancy services Norwich”, “accountancy services Kings Lynn”, etc? The competition is lower and the people searching for these phrases are ultra-relevant.

No. Any decent SEO will not offer you a guarantee. Search engines such as Google explicitly warn companies not to work with SEOs that offer guarantees. Google also notes that “no one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google” and warns companies to “beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings.

There is no fixed answer to how long it’ll take you to see SEO results, however, in my experience, most clients start to see a decent impact within 3-6 months.

That said, I’ve ranked websites #1 within 3 weeks, and on the other hand, it’s taken me 6 months to get a website on the first page of Google. It depends on your online competition and many other factors.

I only take on SEO clients where I am able to build (or rebuild) their website, write their website’s content and provide SEO services following this. This means the foundations are perfect; the website is fast, optimised for conversions and written with SEO in mind from day 1.

I provide SEO services to local businesses and businesses providing a service in both B2B and B2C.

I do not provide SEO services for:

  • Adult websites
  • Gambling
  • Online shops (e-commerce)

There’s a very good chance that when you stop doing SEO on your website your website’s search engine rankings will drop.

This is due to 2 main factors:

  • Your competitors will fight back: When your website climbs the rankings your competitors will fight back with their own SEO efforts. So stopping your SEO means your competitors can catch up and leapfrog your website.
  • Google and other search engines update their algorithms: The parameters and algorithms which determine where your website ranks in the search engines are changing all the time. Stopping SEO means your website will not stay up to date with these algorithms.

I can’t comment on what your previous SEO consultant did and why it did or didn’t work. But, what makes me different to many SEO experts is that I don’t just optimise your website for search engines. I’ll build your website, write the content and then rank it on Google with SEO. I provide a full, cohesive service.

My SEO payments are taken on the 1st of every month via direct debit. My SEO services are on a monthly rolling basis. I just ask for 30 days’ notice of cancellation.
No. A website cannot be optimised in ‘one go’ as Google and other search engines are always changing their guidelines and your competitors will also be working on their SEO over time. That said, some SEO improvements can be made in a short span of time.
If you don’t do any SEO your website will most likely be hard for your customers to find and remain deep in the search result pages.

If your goal is to drive traffic to your website in the short term, you might choose to focus on Google Ads.

If you want to enhance your business’s online visibility in the long run and get free traffic, SEO is the answer.

I host and maintain your website as part of my website maintenance services.

Why choose me?

There are many other Norfolk SEO consultants and agencies out there. So, why should you choose me?

Full-service

After building 200+ websites, I’m able to confidently provide you with Website Design, Website Copywriting and SEO services as a bespoke package.

More cost-effective

I’m not an agency; I don’t have to pay staff and lease on a swanky office. Therefore, I’m able to provide a fairly priced SEO service that pays off.

One point of contact

I’m a freelance SEO consultant, meaning you’ll speak with me and only me. You don’t have to worry about speaking with account managers, finance directors and the office dog (although you may see my cats on a video call every now and then). You’ll speak to the guy doing the work.

I’ve been there and got the t-shirt

I’ve been doing this for 7+ years. I’ve built 200+ websites. I’ve got websites that have been ranking #1 for over 4 years. This is my bread and butter.
